Ericsson Focuses on Cingular

Ericsson has appointed Robert Pajos to lead the Cingular Key Account Manager for Ericsson's North American market unit. Pajos, who comes to North America with thirteen years of experience at Ericsson, was previously the head of the company's Northern Latin America market unit, where he was responsible for all sales and operations in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Guyana.

Since beginning his career with Ericsson in 1993, Pajos has held several key roles in a number of different countries. He was previously key account manager and vice president of Ericsson's Eastern Europe and Central Asia market unit, where he was also head of the representative office in St. Petersburg, Russia. Furthermore, Pajos served as general manager and vice president of Ericsson's services regional office in Latin America as well as vice president and head of Service Solutions in the Brazil market unit.

"Robert's background and experience will be invaluable in strengthening and driving our relationship with Cingular in North America," said Angel Ruiz, president and chief executive officer of Ericsson North America. "His strong wireless, wireline, convergence and services knowledge will be essential for furthering Ericsson's North American growth strategy."

Pajos earned a master's degree in engineering and computer science and advanced radio surveillance from The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden."
