Hungary's Pannon says that it has extended its 3G coverage to five new cities including Debrecen, Siofok, Tatabanya and from end-July also in Nyiregyhaza and Kecskemet. Joining Budapest, Gyo"r, Szombathely, Szekesfehervar, Pecs, Szeged and Miskolc, the above five cities now have a large-bandwidth 3G mobile phone system to improve existing mobile broadband services.
With concentrated development efforts, Pannon boasts the largest mobile broadband coverage in Hungary: its collaborating EDGE and a 3G UMTS networks will be accessible for 85% of Hungary's population by end-July and their coverage is being expanded on an ongoing basis.
Customers can test the potential of mobile broadband by using the WAP and MobilTV services offered by Pannon at summer weekends free of charge."
