Cellstar, Motorola Extend Distribution Agreements in the US, LatAm"

US telecoms equipment and value added services provider Cellstar has extended its current distribution agreements with telecom equipment supplier Motorola for the US and Latin America until a new agreement is signed, Cellstar said in a press release.

The US extension automatically renews every month until a new agreement is in place, while the Latin American extension expires on August 31, 2006. This extension will allow the companies more time to complete a new agreement.

Under the terms of the current agreement Cellstar is the primary distributor for Motorola's wireless products to certain carriers and dealers throughout the US.

Cellstar is a logistics and distribution services provider for the wireless communications industry, with operations in North and Latin America. The company distributes handsets, related accessories and other wireless products from leading manufacturers to wireless service providers.
