Fourth Attempt to Offer Slovak GSM License

The Telecommunications Office of the Slovak Republic has announced plans to offer a 3rd GSM and UMTS license in the country. This is however, the third time the regulator has attempted to offer a GSM license to break the T-Mobile/Orange duopoly. Tenders failed in 1998,1999 and 2002.

The license, if it is actually awarded will be for 20 years and the deadline for applications is 14th July 2006."
