Russia's Equant to Operate Under Orange Brand Later This Year

MOSCOW, June 2 (Prime-Tass) -- Russia's Equant, or OOO Ekvant, a subsidiary of France Telecom, plans to start operating under the Orange Business Services brand starting sometime in September-November, Equant said in a press release Friday.

The change comes as France Telecom moves to put all its units under a single brand, Orange Business Services.

However, the legal name of France Telecom's Russian unit will remain the same, Equant said.

Equant offers a wide range of telecommunications services and is expected to start providing long-distance services later this year or in 2007.
