KIEV, May 25 (Prime-Tass) -- The revenue of Ukraine's largest mobile operator Kyivstar rose 60.7% on the year to 2.725 billion hryvnas in January-April, the company said in a report filed with regulators Thursday.
Of the total, revenue from personal clients rose 60.7% on the year to 2.18 billion hryvnas in the period and from corporate clients rose 60.7% on the year to 545 million hryvnas, Kyivstar said.
In 2005, the company's revenue rose 77.5% on the year to U.S. $1.136 billion.
Kyivstar's subscriber base stood at 15.146 million users as of May 1.
Kyivstar, also known as Kievstar, was set up in 1994 and launched its GSM standard network in December 1997. The mobile operator provides services over an area home to 92% of Ukraine?s total population.
