Anonymous 3G Video Calls

Mobestar says that it has launched the first inter-country anonymous 3G video call service. The first anonymous mobile video call supported by Mobestar's Flexible Anonymous Communications Engine (FACE) took place yesterday between Germany and the UK. Anonymous video calls over 3G have been technically and legally challenging, preventing web communities from extending their online operations into an increasingly profitable mobile video arena.

Due to the nature of European mobile networks, caller anonymity could not be ensured when making mobile-to-mobile video calls.

Mobestar has overcome these technical obstacles with its FACE technology. Using FACE, all live calling between members of a mobile community is conducted in a totally secure and anonymous environment to provide members with total peace of mind - an essential requirement for services such as mobile dating. FACE is available for existing 2G and 3G networks and is accessible through any compatible mobile phone, whenever a member wishes to use the service.

Mobestar believes that FACE will offer the most immediate value to the online dating brands and large online communities, in terms of increasing numbers of subscribers and average revenue per user.
