Euroset Says Has 200 Phone Shops in Kazakhstan
MOSCOW, May 22 (Prime-Tass) -- Russia?s largest mobile handset retailer Euroset has opened 200 outlets in Kazakhstan since the start of its operations in the country in 2004, Euroset said in a press release Monday.
Euroset, which now operates in 50 Kazakh cities, plans to open 200 more outlets by the end of this year, the company said.
The total number of Euroset's outlets rose to 3,111 as of January 1 from 1,177 as of January 1, 2005, the company said earlier. At that time it operated in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Euroset recently opened its first outlet in Uzbekistan.
Euroset's sales amounted to U.S. $2.574 billion in 2005, up from $968 million in 2004.
