China Mobile Adds 4.33 Million Users in April Vs 4.30 Million in March

HONG KONG -(Dow Jones)- China Mobile (Hong Kong), the largest mobile carrier in China in terms of subscribers, said Friday it added 4.33 million customers in April, up from 4.30 million new subscribers in March.

The increase in April was the company's largest since it started reporting monthly operating figures in January 2003.

The carrier said 4.03 million of its new customers in April were prepaid subscribers, while 298,000 were contract customers.

The April additions raised China Mobile's total number of subscribers to 264.97 million.
