Telecom to Invest US$66mn in Patagonia

Telecom Argentina has pledged a 200mn-peso (US$65.8mn) investment in the country's Patagonia region this year, Agencia Nacional de Noticias reported.

The news comes as Telecom's mobile unit Personal inaugurated a new office in the southern city of Neuquén.

The company considers the Patagonia region to have strong growth potential. So far this year, Personal's client base in Neuquén has grown by 50%.

"The investments we've made this year have allowed us to advance in markets with significant potential for the company," said Telecom commercial director Martín Vaca.
