Dangaard Telecom Office Damaged By Fire

Less than 18 hours after Dangaard Telecom's international headquarter in Denmark was damaged by smoke and soot due to a heavy fire, immediate measures were taken to ensure that the most important functions of the headquarter were able to continue without any further significant inconveniences to the running of the company's activities in the 14 European countries. The handset distributor says that their IT systems have not been affected by the damages, and the company's financial and bookkeeping functions have as of Wednesday morning been installed in buildings nearby. In this way, the running of the company's core activities - distribution of mobile phones and mobile phone accessories - has been secured.

None of Dangaard Telecom's warehouses have been damaged, but damages caused by smoke and soot in the offices are so extensive that none of the 180 employees in the headquarter will be able to work in the offices on Industrivej in the next approximately 14 days. Everything in the offices has to go through a thorough cleansing.

The fire started Tuesday shortly before 18:00 in the Radio and TV shop situated on the ground floor at Industrivej. The shop belongs to Fleggaard Dan Discount. The fire was quickly discovered, but despite the Fleggaard employees' attempt to stop the fire, it quickly spread to the entire shop and a small warehouse behind the shop. The fire developed a heavy smoke that spread to Dangaard Telecom's offices on the 1st and 2nd floor in the building. 120 firemen were engaged in the fire extinguishing, and at approximately 19:30 the fire was stopped.

Nobody was injured by the fire and the cause of the fire has not been established yet.

Dangaard Telecom has several other buildings in Padborg and some of the employees will be working here. Other employees will be placed in buildings owned by Fleggaard Holding, who has shares in Dangaard Telecom."
