Phones That Ring From Beyond the Grave
A macabre tale was reported in the the daily Al-Madinah newspaper earlier this week, when a mobile phone started ringing from within a refrigerated storage unit at the King Faisal Hospital's morgue in Saudi Arabia. According to the report, staff were shocked when they started hearing the ringing sound in the morgue, and even more worried when the sound was found to be coming from a storage container that also had a body in it.
Fortunately, the phone was not answered by its owner.
This is not the first such story we have covered. Back in 2003, the Belgian family of a recently deceased motorcyclist sued the funeral firm they chose, after the dead mans cell phone started ringing - from inside the coffin. The night before the funeral, the family gathered at the undertakers for a final private farewell, when they heard the sound of his cellphone ringing from within the sealed coffin. Several distressed members of the family had to leave the funeral home whilst staff rushed to remove the cell phone."
