Russia's MegaFon User Base in Arkhangelsk Region Up 70% in 2005

MOSCOW, Mar 9 (Prime-Tass) -- The subscriber base of Russia?s third largest mobile operator MegaFon in the Arkhangelsk Region and the Nenets Autonomous District rose 70% in 2005 to 500,000 people as of December 31, the company said in a press release Thursday.

MegaFon launched its network in the Arkhangelsk Region in 1997.

The company's total subscriber base stood at 23.212 million people as of January 31, according to Advanced Communications & Media (AC&M).
