WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Shenandoah Telecommunications said Friday that it again extended its discussions with Sprint Nextel Corp. over a wireless territory rights agreement, to April 15, in order to avoid litigation.
Shenandoah, a regional affiliate of Sprint based in Edinburg, Va., is discussing a management agreement that sets parameters for Nextel Communications Inc.'s wireless operations in territories also operated by a Shenandoah unit, according to its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Shenandoah and Sprint's other affiliates are seeking new agreements with Sprint after its merger with Nextel in August of last year.
The discussion deadline was last extended in December to Feb. 15.
