MOSCOW, Feb 14 (Prime-Tass) -- Ukraine's Kiev Arbitration Court has rejected a back tax claim worth over 68 million hryvnas against Ukrainian mobile operator Ukrainian Mobile Communications (UMC), UMC's spokeswoman Yarina Klyuchkovskaya told reporters Tuesday.
The back tax represents value added tax (VAT) unpaid on a 6% fee to the Pension Fund for 2002-2004.
Ukraine's mobile operators Kyivstar and Golden Telecom, a U.S.-registered provider of telecommunications and Internet services in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), also filed court appeals against similar decisions of the tax service.
UMC's network covers more than 87% of Ukraine
