Road Believes Verizon Wireless Shutting Down CDPD Network

FREMONT, Calif. -(Dow Jones)- @Road Inc. believes Verizon Wireless is in the process of shutting down a Cellular Digital Packet Data network, with completion scheduled for the next several days.

In a press release Thursday, @Road said Verizon Communications also requested the discontinuation of services to substantially all its mobile resource management subscribers effective two days ago.

Shares of @Road recently changed hands at $4.15 in the premarket, according to Inet. Nasdaq-shares of the provider of mobile resource management programs closed Wednesday at $5.09, down 12 cents, or 2.3%.
