The Pakistan Trade Alliance and the South Punjab Chamber of Small Traders are threatening to hold protests outside the offices of the local cellphone network operators in protest at the quality of the cellular networks. They are particularly protesting against connectivity problems with the networks.
At a press conference last week, the Pakistan Trader Alliance chairman said the businessmen have been facing problems with poor services and repeated suspensions in making calls. He asked the government to take notice of the situation.
The body said that particular problems were being felt in the Southern Punjab and they appealed to the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication and the Pakistan Telecoms Regulator to take action against the operators."
