3 UK Offers Users Cash Credit To Receive Calls, Texts"
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- 3 UK, the mobile telecommunications company owned by Hutchison Whampoa, Tuesday unveiled a promotion that pays its users to receive calls and texts.
The pay-as-you-go price service, called "WePay" and available from Feb. 1, will provide customers with a cash credit for calls and texts received. Customers can claim the cash credit, which can be used to purchase any 3 service and will be valid for 30 days, when buying a "WePay" top-up voucher.
As part of of the promotion, 3 will launch a range of new handsets designed by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.
3 UK said a customer on WePay that receives 100 minutes of calls and 50 texts a month will earn a credit of GBP6.
