Nokia To Deliver 3G Network To Smart Communications
STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Finnish telecommunication equipment firm Nokia, Wednesday said it will deliver a third-generation WCDMA network, to Philippine wireless service provider Smart Communications Inc.
The company said the order includes its high speed downlink packet access, or HSDPA, solution, a 3G upgrade to the existing circuit and packet switched networks, and related services.
It said extensive services in the agreement also include network design, planning and optimization, and operations support system upgrade.
Also included are deployment services consisting of installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance testing of the network, Nokia said.
