Tesco Mobile Tops 1 Million Customers

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Tesco Mobile said Wednesday that it now has one million customers.

The simple, flat-rate mobile service, a 50:50 joint venture between Tesco and O2, has reached this important milestone in just over two years since the service was launched, it said.

Andy Dewhurst, Tesco Mobile chief executive, said: "We are delighted with the success of the joint venture and look forward to a continued strong partnership with Tesco to enable Tesco Mobile to bring benefits to more customers in 2006."
