M6 Beats 200,000 Subscriber Target For Mobile Services"

PARIS -(Dow Jones)- M6 mobile, the mobile phone service of French private television M6-Metropole Television and France Telecom's mobile operator Orange said Wednesday that it beat its own target of 200,000 subscribers.

M6 said in a statement it had reached 201,137 subscribers by Dec. 21.

In mid-November, the company said it was targeting 200,000 subscribers by the end of the year.

When M6 launched the service in early June, it had originally targeted 100,000 subscribers by the end of 2005.
