MOSCOW, Dec 6 (Prime-Tass) -- The mobile subscriber base of Russian telecommunications company Sibirtelecom and its subsidiaries rose 86% since the beginning of the year to 1.834 million people as of December 1, the company said Tuesday.
Sibirtelecom, a subsidiary of Russian government-controlled telecom holding Svyazinvest, owns 100% of Baikalvestkom, Yeniseitelecom, and Stek GSM, which are all GSM mobile service providers in the Siberian Federal District. Yeniseitelecom holds 59.7% in GSM mobile operator Altaisvyaz.
