Three New Handsets from BenQ Mobile

BenQ Mobile has shown of a new A-Series basic handset. The phones still include WAP and GPRS, along with MMS. Additionally, all travel and leisure needs are covered on the new A-Series mobiles by an organizer, the preinstalled emergency phone book, a survival dictionary for several languages, and at least two games.

The Siemens AF51 is a small and slim clamshell phone (79 x 41 x 20 mm) that combines reliable connectivity with contemporary style, making it the best in its class and great value for money. The external (96 x 64 pixels) display boasts a mirror effect, while the durable internal display (130x130 pixels) is protected by scratch-resistant glass. Moreover, both displays are in full color (65,536 colors), another first in this segment. An Incite Service Light Indication LED informs the user about missed calls or incoming text messages in even the gloomiest light conditions.

The Siemens AL21 is the first phone in its segment to sport the up-to-the-minute slider function. Programmable keypad sounds let users personalize their AL21 as they desire.

Casual organization encapsulates the Siemens A31. Minimalism meets efficiency in this slender, bar-shaped phone that contains essential organizer technology. A calendar with incorporated reminder function and an alarm clock make life simple by keeping track of names, addresses, as well as important dates, events or appointments. An agenda icon on the navigation key allows speedy access. Because the phone also comprises a unit converter and a world clock, the cumbersome diary and alarm clock can be left at home. Customization is only a click away with MMS pictures, animation or logos at hand. The understated, silver metallic finish of the A31 with chrome accents in Anthracite or Ruby Red complement its pure, extruded shape and maximize comfort in handling and carrying.

All products will be available throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia in the first quarter of 2006.
