Ukraine's Court Rejects Tax Service's Claims Against Ukrtelecom

KIEV, Nov 21 (Prime-Tass) -- Ukraine's Kiev Arbitration Court has rejected the State Tax Service of Ukraine's back tax claims worth over 800 million hryvnas against national telecommunications company Ukrtelecom, Ukrtelecom's press office said Monday.

The tax service claimed that Ukrtelecom did not pay taxes from the sale of its stake in Ukrainian Mobile Communications (UMC) in 2003 and that Ukrtelecom did not follow the government's ruling to make contributions of 15% of the company's tax profit in advance.
