CDMA 1xEV-DO Coverage Expanded in Canada
Bell Canada says that it has extended its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized) network to Western Canada. Bell Mobility users in Vancouver, British Columbia and both Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta will now immediately enjoy the benefits of a 3G network, related products and services.
"Bell is excited to expand its EV-DO coverage to Western Canada," said Paul Healey, President, Western Canada, Bell Mobility. "EV-DO provides Canadians with highly advanced next generation services not previously available. Two weeks ago the EV-DO network was rolled out in Toronto and Montreal along with three powerful EV-DO devices. Today, we are expanding the EV-DO experience to Western Canada."
