SYDNEY -(Dow Jones)- Telstra Corp. said Tuesday that it won't build a 3G network in New Zealand.
Chief executive Sol Trujillo, unveiling the company's strategic plan out to 2010 and beyond, said Telstra believe the return on capital in a 3G investment in New Zealand isn't good enough.
Trujillo said Telstra will look for "breakout opportunities" in New Zealand and focus on profitable operations in the market, which is dominated by Telecom Corp. of New Zealand.
