Outsmart, a provider of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solutions and Intelligent Networks (IN) based solutions, has announced a successful deployment of SmartFMC on an unnamed CDMA network. SmartFMC enables communication service providers to deliver a seamless end-user experience between wireline and wireless services, irrespective of subscribers' location, access technology, or terminals.
Additionally, users could maintain one number, one device and one bill.
"The successful trial further emphasizes that Outsmart is at the height of the Fixed Mobile Convergence market," says Menahem Tirosh, CEO of Outsmart. "We are proud that our solution has a proven record of success on both GSM and CDMA networks, confirming that SmartFMC(tm) is an unparalleled technology."
The SmartFMC solution integrates SIP-based telephony (VoIP) into the mobile core network, allowing SIP terminals to appear to the mobile network as mobile phones, which enables users to enjoy all the services and benefits of mobile telephony. Equally, SmartFMC enables service providers to offer IP services to mobile terminals, and for mobile terminals to appear to the IP network as SIP terminals, allowing the end users to take advantage of all the services and benefits of the IP world."
