Poland & Belgium Plan 3G License

The Polish government has announced that it plans to offer licenses to operate a 3rd Generation mobile phone network in the country in 2001. Also, two new GSM900 licenses will be awarded in 2002.

The Belgium government has also announced that it is to seek a consultancy company to advise on conducting an auction for four 3G licenses in the county. The auction could occur as soon as September, this year.
