Myanmar Network Investment Planned

The government of Myanmar, formerly Burma, intends to spend US$144 million on a GSM network, which should go live in the cities of Yangon and Mandalay in May. A further six towns will be covered by the end of the year, and the network expects to acquire 130,000 subscribers this year."
