Nokia Gets GSM/EDGE Expansion Deal In Argentina
STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Finland's Nokia Oyj (NOK) Wednesday said it has signed an agreement with Argentine phone company CTi Movil Argentina to deliver servers to enable an expansion of the GSM and EDGE networks in Argentina.
The agreement includes investments to all regions of the country and expansions are to be implemented before the end of 2005. Nokia said deliveries have already begun.
In addition to GSM/EDGE radio technology, Nokia will deliver Release 4 MSC Server softswitching technology.
Nokia will also provide a wide range of services, including project management, and implementation, planning and optimization services for fast rollout of the network expansion.
Also included are care, hardware and training services, as well as operations support services to keep the solution running at peak performance.
