New Wireless 911 Contracts Signed

Intrado has announced new contracts for wireless E9-1-1 solutions with WestLink Communications, Nex-Tech Wireless, Edge Wireless, Chariton Valley Wireless, Cellcom Inc. of Wisconsin, and Appalachian Wireless. Each of these carriers has chosen to outsource its wireless E911 services to Intrado, purchasing a combination of Phase I and Phase II E9-1-1 services and in some instances, position determination entity (PDE) services.

Intrado Hosted E9-1-1 Services are made possible by a set of telco-grade service capabilities that enable Intrado to deliver a comprehensive E9-1-1 solution - not just technology - while minimizing the use of the operator's internal resources. By doing so wireless carriers can alleviate the need for large capital expenditures, reduce technology obsolescence concerns, and streamline deployments regardless of the carrier's size, air interface or subscriber base.
