Nokia Supplies WCDMA Network To Eurotel

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Finland's Nokia Oyj (NOK) said Thursday it has signed a contract with Czech mobile operator Eurotel Praha (ERP.YY) for the supply of wideband code division multiple access, WCDMA, third generation network including the Nokia High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) solution.

The company didn't give financial details.

This continues Nokia's long-term role in the development of Eurotel's mobile network, the company said. The deal is Nokia's first 3G contract in the Czech Republic.

Under the agreement, Nokia delivers core and radio networks including the HSDPA solution and the Nokia internet protocol, IP, Multimedia Subsystem.

Nokia also provides the Nokia NetAct network management solution, and services for network planning and implementation, operation and maintenance, and training.

Eurotel Praha is a limited liability company, spol. s r. o., and is owned 100% by CESKY TELECOM, a. s. (BAATELEC.PR)
