Tecnomen Delivers Messaging System To Mobile TeleSystems

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Finnish mobile solutions provider Tecnomen Oyj (TEM1V.HE) said Friday it has signed an agreement to deliver its messaging system to Russian mobile phone operator Mobile TeleSystems (MBT), MTS. Implementation is scheduled for the third quarter, the company said.

Tecnomen's messaging system will provide over 1 million MTS customers in the Volga region with a range of services including voice and fax mail, missed call notice and intelligent callback, the company said.

MTS has a subscriber base of over 46 million.

The Russian mobile market has been growing rapidly and the total mobile subscriptions count has exceeded 100 million, the company said.
