Telstra To Introduce 3G Service Early Next Month

SYDNEY -(Dow Jones)- Telstra Corp. (TLS) said Thurdsay it will launch third generation mobile services in major Australian cities on September 5.

In a statement, Telstra's head of consumer and marketing David Moffatt said the company will offer services with capped pricing plans.

Telstra will offer customers a A$49 plan offering up to A$250 worth of services and a A$79 plan offering A$550 of services.

The service will offered in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and the Gold Coast.
