Complete 3G Coverage on the Underground Railway

3 Hong Kong has become the first mobile operator in Hong Kong to provide full 3G coverage for the entire MTR network, including the Island Line, Airport Express Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tung Chung Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Disneyland Resort Line and Tseung Kwan O Line. By extending 3G coverage to all the MTR stations commencing tomorrow afternoon, 3's 3G network will provide customers with truly seamless 3G video communication and high-speed video content from ground to tunnels.

In addition to offering MTR coverage, 3 Hong Kong was also the first to provide 3G network coverage in all of Hong Kong's 12 major tunnels, including the Lion Rock Tunnel, Cross Harbour Tunnel, Cheung Tsing Tunnel, Aberdeen Tunnel, Eastern Harbour Tunnel, Western Harbour Crossing, Airport Tunnel, Discovery Bay Tunnel, Shing Mun Tunnel, Tate's Cairn Tunnel, Tseung Kwan O Tunnel and Tai Lam Tunnel. The extended coverage enables 3 customers to enjoy the broad range of fabulous 3G video communication services without interruption while traveling through any vehicle tunnel in the territory.

3 Hong Kong offers the strongest network coverage in Hong Kong with over 3,500 radio transmission sites and provides video roaming and IDD services to some 50 worldwide destinations. 3 Hong Kong recently launched 3G video roaming services for Japan and was also the first operator in Hong Kong to provide exclusive 3G auto-roaming services in Korea, allowing customers to stay connected with families, friends and business partners anytime anywhere."
