Czech CDMA Operator Passes Subscriber Landmark

The number of customers using the Czech Republic based, Eurotel's CDMA2000 1xEV-DO mobile internet and data access technology has passed 50,000 customers. With expanded coverage and capacity provided in July by the addition of 4 new CDMA base stations to Eurotel's network, Eurotel confirmed at the same time its commitment to provide quality Internet access to all customers.

The expansion of the Eurotel's network based on the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO technology followed an expert evaluation of the current network traffic and areas in which an increasing strong level of interest in Internet services has been observed. Expanded coverage and capacity have been deployed in Plzen, Hlinsko, Chotebor and Bystrice pod Pern
