Amplidyne, a manufacturer of power amplifiers and high speed broadband wireless products, has announced that it has completed the development of its Multi Channel 80W W-CDMA amplifier. This amplifier has DSP controlled ultra linear signal correction and is capable of transmitting 8 CDMA channels over 40MHz bandwidth simultaneously for total output power of 80W.
Tochi Bains, Vice President, Amplifier Division, stated "the development of this DSP controlled W-CDMA amplifier is a major achievement for our engineering team. We will shortly deliver this product to prospective customers for trials. Our team will continue to work on new developments and in the future the company plans to release products with new technologies, such as Digital Predistortion and high efficiency amplifiers, for WiMax and next generation wireless technologies."
