Hong Kong's Sunday Communications has announced the commercial launch of its 3G network, with a PC card as its first product offering. China's Huawei provides the PC data card to Sunday.
"The commercial launch of the Sunday 3G network is a significant milestone for Sunday and Huawei. By launching Hong Kong's fastest wireless pass data card, we are clearly demonstrating our ability to lead the field and make Hong Kong a global showcase for 3G communications. We are bringing the world's most advanced 3G technology to the market at precisely the right time, when customers are really getting excited about this new era of mobile communications," said Bruce Hicks, Group Managing Director, Sunday Communications Limited.
Senior vice president of Huawei Technologies Dr. Xu Zhijun said: "Huawei is leading the industry in delivering the 3G wireless pass data card with symmetric uplink and downlink transmission speeds up to 384kbps.
