LONDON -(Dow Jones)- BT Group PLC (BT), the U.K. telecommunications company, Tuesday cut the cost of calling a mobile phone from a fixed-line for its business customers.
The move follows Carphone Warehouse Group PLC's (CPW.LN) move into the business telecoms market earlier this month which highlighted its prices versus BT's charges. The retailer offered business customers a price cap of 27 pence for a call made to a mobile from a fixed-line for up to an hour.
BT has responded by reducing its price cap for a similar call to 25 pence from 30 pence. It said it has sliced a penny a minute off daytime tariffs on uncapped price plans.
