AirNet Wins Asian Infrastructure Contract
AirNet Communications has received a purchase order for approximately US$5 million in products and services from an undisclosed customer in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the terms of the 5 year supply contract, AirNet will deploy its AdaptaCell 4000XE base stations, its AirSite Backhaul Free TripCap base stations, and related common equipment and services.
The network will initially have approximately 40 cell sites, and is planned for deployment in phases throughout the remainder of 2005. The customer will also be deploying GPRS services.
Powered by AirNet's flexible broadband, SDR product architecture, the AdaptaCell 4000 XE is a compact, outdoor base station capable of pole mounting. In addition, the 4000 XE operates on either A/C power, in its minimal configuration, or DC power and supports SuperCapacity adaptive array technology and high-speed data. The Triple Capacity Digital AirSite Backhaul Free base station provides three times the capacity of the Digital AirSite base station. In addition, the digital "TripCap" is easy to install and has state-of-the-art operation and maintenance capabilities."
