Vodafone Extends Handset Guarantees

Vodafone Greece has announced that it is to offer a 2 year warrenty on all Vodafone Live branded handsets and accessories. Moreover, all Vodafone branded mobile phone batteries sold through Vodafone Shops, will have a 3-month warranty. The warranty for both mobile phones and accessories and batteries will be offered with items sold after the 18th of April, without retroactive effect.

Vodafone say that this initiative is part of Vodafone's client-centred strategy, aimed at fully satisfying consumers from the level of services provided, both during and after a sale.

Of course, it could also be a clever way of reducing churn caused by customers having faulty handsets that need repairing out of warrenty and choosing instead to just get a new handset as a replacement."
