New Test Center for MMS in Germany

In order to meet the increasing demand for MMS conformance testing, Cetecom has put into operation a second MMS test platform located at the mobile communications test centre in Feldkirchen near Munich (Germany). In addition to the already existing Setcom S-CAT 5020/Agilent 8960 test solution, Cetecom has invested in a further test tool that has been developed and recently launched by Anite.

The new Application-enabler Conformance Toolset (ACT) uses the Anite SAT configuration and provides a base for validated testing for MMS as well as the capability of future enhancement for browser testing (WAP2). The MMS conformance test is among the first to be developed to the OMA (Open Mobile Alliance) requirements, and is instrumental in delivering the required functionality within the MMS ETS (Enabler Test Specification).

Cetecom customers now have access to a second test platform which enables tests of every MMS implementation to ensure that a MMS-capable terminal reaches the standards required by GCF and PTCRB."
