DiGi Provides GSM Coverage for Towns in Land Below the Wind
Malaysia's DiGi says that it has expanded its GSM coverage to Lahad Datu and Kunak. Both Lahad Datu and Kunak are important destinations in the Malaysian map, as both are quiet but important towns famed for being the gateways to renowned virgin rainforests of the Danum Valley Conservation Area, The Tabin Wildlife Reserve in the east and Madai Caves further south.
Visitors to the state will benefit from improved mobile coverage, while at the same time, this network development will also enable Sabahans residing in both areas to have enhanced communication tools, vastly facilitating business growth in the state.
"DiGi realizes that there are significant expansion possibilities in Lahad Datu and Kunak, therefore, with our growing customer base in Sabah, we are committed to continuously enhancing our communications network to provide customers unmatched network reliability, incredible speed and limitless potential for voice and data connections," said Mr. Benny Wee, DiGi's East Malaysian Regional Manager.
"This represents a significant investment by DiGi and clearly demonstrates our continued commitment to the monitoring and consequent upgrade and expansion of our network," he added."
