TeliaSonera's NetCom Launches Mobile Network In Norway
STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Nordic telecommunications operator TeliaSonera AB (TLSN.SK) Monday said its wholly owned unit NetCom launches its mobile 3G network on March 1.
NetCom said the network will offer mobile broadband to laptop computers and handhelds, and will offer price reductions.
NetCom connect is a smartcard for PC laptops that provides Internet access at broadband speed.
About 3.5 million Norwegians will have access to the network, NetCom said, while about 95% of the population is expected to have access by 2006.
As of March 1 there will be a single price of NOK20 per megabyte for all customers, NetCom said.
