TeliaSonera: NetCom To Use ServiceFactory's Wireless Tech

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Norwegian mobile operator NetCom AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Swedish operator TeliaSonera AB (TLSN.SK), Thursday said it entered an agreement to order a wireless technology system from ServiceFactory, a supplier of systems for broadband IP-based service.

Netcom said it will use ServiceFactory's Orbyte System system to implement its own service, called HomeRun Office, which it launched on Dec. 1, 2004.

HomeRun offers companies wireless access at the office and within 10,000 public spots globally.

Netcom implements and manages the WiFi network at the office, providing a guaranteed level of service availability and security.

The employees can then access internet, e-mail and other corporate resources using the same access method, regardless of whether they are at the office or at a public hotspot.

ServiceFactory has created, through its Orbyte System, a mobile office solution enabling operators to offer this type of service.
