Orange Signs Up Ingram Micro For Data Services Distribution

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Orange, the mobile telecommunications arm of France Telecom SA (FTE), Tuesday said it has signed a channel distribution partnership with Ingram Micro Inc.'s (IM) European division to strengthen its position in the small and medium-sized enterprise market.

Orange said the partnership with the IT company will drive take-up of mobile data services initially across the U.K., French and Belgian markets.

Ingram's IT resellers will be able to bundle the services - including mobile voice and data as well as handsets and personal digital assistants - enabling customers to buy mobile data services alongside IT products.
