Madagascan GSM Network Monitoring

Metrica Software Systems has said that Orange Madagascar will deploy Metrica's software to monitor the performance of its GSM network. Orange Madagascar's network covers 98% of the urban population in 14 major towns and provides mobile services to 150,000 subscribers. Metrica worked directly with Orange Madagascar and with Orange Madagascar's partner, Audilog, to win the contract. Audilog will install the system and provide support on behalf of Metrica.

"Our aim is to make communications accessible and simple," said Alain Marquis, CTO of Orange Madagascar. "Our top priority is to deliver our customers the most innovative products and services on the market, the best network quality and customer service. By deploying Metrica's solution, we now have a unified view of our network and the services delivered over it and can pinpoint potential quality issues before they become customer-affecting. In this way, we can continue to provide the highest levels of service quality that our customers have come to expect."

"Orange Madagascar has played an important part in developing the country's network infrastructure and introducing new services to the Malagasy people," said Mark Greatrex, senior vice president and general manager of the Performance Management Division of Metrica Software Systems (UK). "With the support of Audilog, we look forward to working closely with Orange as they evolve their operator network in Madagascar."
