Thai TA Orange Awards Alcatel $133 Million Network Upgrade Deal
BANGKOK -(Dow Jones)- Thai fixed-line operator True Corp. PCL's (TRUE.TH) unit, TA Orange Ltd., has awarded France's Alcatel S.A. a $133 million contract to upgrade and expand the unit's mobile phone network, company officials said at a press conference Wednesday.
TA Orange is the country's third-largest mobile phone operator with 3.4 million subscribers.
