Vodafone Wins Australian Government Contract
Vodafone Australia says that they are now a preferred primary supplier to the Western Australian State Government for GSM airtime services, handsets, accessories and fixed to mobile services under their new mobile telecommunications contract.
Under the new contract, Vodafone will supply all Western Australian government departments and public authorities with GSM network services such as mobile to mobile, fixed to mobile, SMS, voicemail, conference calls and roaming.
Darren Hayes, General Manager of Vodafone WA, is thrilled with the outcome of the tender. "This contract highlights Vodafone's commitment to competitive pricing in the marketplace," said Darren.
"The appointment is a true testament to the Vodafone network and services in Western Australia as this state government arrangement is setting a standard of best practice for Vodafone across Australia."
The common use agreement (CUA 15103) became effective 12 January 2005 and will operate for three years until January 2008 with two consecutive one-year extension options."
