African Mobile Telecom Co Celtel Hits 5 Million Customer Mark
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Celtel International, the pan-African mobile telecommunications company, Thursday said it has passed the 5 million customer mark.
Celtel operates in 13 African countries and is due to list on the London Stock Exchange in 2005.
The company said it has been signing up around 50,000 new mobile users a week.
